To the Editor:
The editorial criticizing taxi drivers who talk on cellphones did not include the simplest, most constructive solution for annoyed riders: ask the driver to please not talk on a cellphone while you’re in the cab.
In my experience, drivers will stop at once — if only because their deprivation has a time limit, the length of the cab ride. Then they get their tip, and everyone is happy.
